DGS Student Named National Achievement Finalist

Downers Grove South senior Joseph Bayer has been named a finalist in the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
Bayer was chosen from 1,600 students named as semi-finalists. Bayer will receive a certificate of achievement and also be put in the running for a National Achievement scholarship.
About 800 students receive scholarships through the program. Bayer will find out in April if he is one of them. The National Achievement Scholarship program recognized outstanding Black students.
