Fifty-six students from Downers Grove South High School in band, choir, jazz band, vocal jazz and orchestra have been selected through a highly competitive audition to participate in the 2010 IMEA District Festivals.

On Tuesday, Oct. 12, 113 student musicians from Downers Grove South High School auditioned at Hinsdale Central High School to participate.

"The total number of participating students continues to be consistently high on an annual basis," said Fine Arts Chairman Glenn Williams. "Additionally, DGS is equally well represented in band, orchestra, choir, jazz band and vocal jazz."

At the district festivals, selected students will audition for the all-state festivals in January.

The numbers next to the name represent the grade the student is in.
