Village of Woodridge Responds to Business Needs
As part of its ongoing commitment to the local business community, the Mayor and Village Board recently approved a number of amendments to the Village Code.
The amendments were in an effort to be more responsive to business needs and to provide businesses greater promotional flexibility as it relates to signage and outdoor merchandise display.
“In these challenging economic times, it is more important than ever to create an economic climate that is both welcoming to new business and supportive of existing businesses,” said Michael Mays, Director of Community Development.
“Amending the Village Code to address business needs is a reflection of the Village’s commitment to encouraging business success.”
The amendments provide businesses with another means by which to promote their products by permitting outdoor merchandise display in specified locations.
The amendments also provide greater flexibility with commercial wall signage and extend the amount of temporary/promotional signage permitted for each business from 8 weeks to 12 weeks per year.
These amendments will provide greater signage exposure to businesses, which is a vital component to business success. For more information on the approved Village Code amendments, please contact the Community Development Department at (630) 719-4750.
