5 Things You Need to Do Before Summer Ends
Summer flew by and you may have missed these five local musts.
Take a final dip at Cypress Cove.
Before you clear room for your sweatshirts and jeans again, break out that bathing suit one more time at Cypress Cove. You have one more week: Cypress ends its regular season Aug. 21. Cattail Bay and Bullfrog Bayou in the park will remain open on the weekends through Labor Day.
With several water slides, the 600-foot lazy river and a water spray playground, there can't be too many other places to savor the last warm days.
Play golf.
Any of Woodridge's golf (or mini-golf) courses are a great way to appreciate the green surroundings and fresh summer air before leaves begin to turn. Whether it's at Seven Bridges, Village Greens, Zigfield or Lost Mountain's miniature golf, grab your clubs before it's too late.
Enjoy patio dining.
Sure, you're still getting the same food and drinks once the patio closes, but why not have that summer-time feeling while soaking up the sun? Buffalo Wild Wings, Blue Ginger and Suparossa all offer outdoor seating while you're eating or drinking. Cabana Charley's patio amps up the tropical vibe even more. Come check out the live music on Fridays and Saturdays, great summer specials like $3.50 Summer Shandy and their "party on the patio on Sundays."
