Adult Film Star Jenna Jameson A No Show In Court

Judge rules in favor of a local theater owner who sued the adult film star Jenna Jameson for breach of contract.

The story of a suburban theater owner's lawsuit against Jenna Jameson appears headed — for now, at least — toward an unhappy ending for the adult film star.

On Wednesday, DuPage County Judge Patrick Leston issued a default judgment against Jameson in a breach of contract case filed earlier this year by Ted Bulthaup, who owns in Woodridge and  in Naperville.

— whose real name is Jenna Marie Massoli — after she skipped out on two heavily promoted meet-and-greet appearances at the theaters in March that coincided with special screenings of her 2008 movie Zombie Strippers!

Jameson was served with the lawsuit on May 24 at her Huntington Beach, Calif., residence, but neither she, nor any attorney on her behalf, formally responded within 30 days. That prompted Bulthaup's attorney to request the default ruling during the case's first hearing. Leston, who acknowledged he had heard about the lawsuit in the media, said actual financial damages owed by Jameson would be determined during a July 28 hearing.

Jameson could still seek to have the default ruling vacated and ask for the case to proceed.

Bulthaup's lawsuit seeks more than $50,000 in damages, while noting the theaters spent "tens of thousands" on event promotion. Jameson was guaranteed at least $10,000 to appear — with travel and other expenses to be paid for by Hollywood — but she canceled due to what her representatives called a "medical emergency," and never rescheduled.

The lawsuit disagrees, pointing out that Jameson apparently ditched the appearances to instead go to Perez Hilton's "Blue Ball" birthday party. Photos of Jameson at the party have popped up on celebrity Web sites, leaving in question the claim she was unable to work or travel for Hollywood, according to court records.
