A lip-dub video created by the Downers Grove North High School Fine Arts Department has gone viral.
Fine Arts Chair Brayer Teague recently enlisted the help of dozens of students and faculty members to create a lip-dub video to "It's Always a Good Time" by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen.
The video was designed to showcase the department, and inform students of the various music and art classes available at the school.
“Our faculty is continually energized by the creativity, imagination and enthusiasm of the students at North High," Teague said. "We hope our video captures the excitement about the arts that we witness every day in the classroom.”
Since it was posted Nov. 5, the video has gained nearly 5,000 hits on YouTube, and even attracted the attention of ABC 7, which has been collecting viral videos from Chicago-area high schools for its "Show Us Your Spirit!" contest.
ABC is expected to air the video Thursday. Online voting for the best high school video will open to the public Friday morning at http://abclocal.go.com/wls/feature?section=resources/lifestyle_community&id=8881002.
