Missing Child Found As Crews Prepare to Search Woodridge Pond
Crews were preparing to search a pond in the Windsor Lakes apartment complex in Woodridge Monday night when a missing child was found.
A young child who was presumed missing, possibly in a pond near the Windsor Lakes apartment complex in Woodridge, has been found.
Officials reported the child missing around 7:30 p.m. and were preparing to search a pond in the apartment complex. The child was found, alive and well, in a private swimming pool.
Robert Morris, fire prevention director at the Darien-Woodridge Fire Department, said the child was reported missing from the Windsor Lakes area and crews were preparing to search the pond as a precautionary measure.
"Fortunately everything ended well and the child was found," Morris said.
Early reports said the child was five years old, but those reports have not been confirmed.
The Windsor Lakes apartment complex is located in the 7500 block of Woodward Avenue.

I't makes me mad thinking how ignorant people can be not watching their kids with today's hostile environment.
How old are this parents ? What kind of education they missed when explained about safe sex?
