Around 150 parishoners came out with family and friends to enjoy the St. Scholastica Parish annual family picnic at Castaldo Park this past Sunday.  

The day started with a memorial service paying tribute to the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, followed by mass in the park.  

After mass families found a cozy spot to settle down in the park and enjoyed activities such as bags, volleyball, face painting and karaoke. 

Around 30 volunteers made the day a success, helping with everything from selling raffle and food tickets to wrapping and selling hot dogs.
