Ron Sandack: Debbie Boyle 'Nowhere to be Found'

Sandack announced on Thursday five more endorsements he has received.

ABATE of Illinois, the Illinois State Rifle Association, the Illinois Center Right Coalition, the Tooling and Manufacturing Association and Family PAC have all endorsed Ron Sandack as state representative for the 81st House District.

“Endorsements are informative to the voters because they indicate to the public that a candidate has substance and understands the important issues facing us today," Sandack said in a press release. "I am honored to have received many endorsements in my campaign to become the next representative for the 81st District, and I have worked hard for each and every one of them. Through my track record as Mayor of Downers Grove and in my short time as an appointed State Senator, I have proven to be unafraid to vote my conscience and speak out on important issues.

“Meanwhile, my opponent is nowhere to be found. While I have participated in numerous forums and interviews, filled out dozens of questionnaires, and answered hundreds of questions about my stances on issues, my opponent has avoided all of these vetting opportunities and instead spent her time attacking me through negative mailers. My opponent must think that attack pieces will do more to get her elected than espousing her own ideas and offering substance. Thankfully the public has shown they prefer substance and boldness over a stealth campaign built on negativity alone. Perhaps this explains why I have received so many endorsements including the Chicago Tribune and Daily Herald. I look forward to continuing to work with all these leaders to finally reform Springfield.”

Sandack began serving as a village commissioner for Downers Grove in 2003 and was elected mayor in 2007. He currently serves as a state senator for the 21st district, having been appointed last fall to replace Dan Cronin, who was elected DuPage County Board Chairman.

Also running for the 81st District Republican nomination is Debbie Boyle, who currently serves as the vice president of the Community High School District 99 school board.

See our candidate profile of Ron Sandack here

See our candidate profile of Debbie Boyle here

Including parts of Downers Grove, Darien, Lisle, Woodridge, Westmont and Naperville, the 81st district constitutes half of the previous 47th district. Patricia Bellock, who currently serves the 47th district, has decided not to run for the 81st, so there is no incumbent candidate.

You can find a full list of those who have endorsed Sandack here, including:

  • Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford
  • House Minority Leader Tom Cross
  • Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno
  • Government reformer Adam Andrzejewski
  • DuPage County Board Chair Dan Cronin
  • State Senator Kirk Dillard
  • State Senator John Millner
  • State Rep Jim Durkin
  • State Rep Michael Connelly
  • Stand For Children
  • For the Good of Illinois PAC
  • Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce PAC

First, yes I do think the following is possible. What a slap in the face to those of us who are not a Teamster! PASTE Does Deb think Downers Grove, DuPage County or consumer life as we know it is possible without Teamsters? You mean to tell me that Teamsters make the world go round and without them we would all shrivel up and drool on ourselves? I have never had a difficult time getting what I deserve from my employer. I have worked very hard with many double shifts and extra jobs. I have asked for raises and received them. I put money away in an account for a rainy day or emergency. I don't expect anyone to take care of these things for me. PASTE [That's because some of Ron's clients work hard to make life easier for you, Deb. You can thank them later.] Wow, allow me to thank them now rather than later. I would like to think that I work hard to make life easier for my customers, too. I believe that most people work hard for their employers. PASTE And what kind of non-Teamster view might that be? The view of employers, e-m-p-l-o-y-e-r-s create j-o-b-s. Jobs are what this state wants, but cannot get as long as we send folks to Springfield who cannot tell which end is u-p. Well, there are many corporations that have a hard time meeting all of their OBLIGATIONS to the unions so they aren't able to freely hire people who may be more worthy of that particular job. They don't have the cash flow because they have to give bonuses and generous packages.

The Insiders close ranks around their anointed one. I see Chris Robling, the lobbyist for Altria and ComEd, is the IR author again. Hmmm.

Say, Ron voted for the Smart Grid Bill that guarantees profits for ComEd, Right?

Say, Ron, who voted FOR the Illinois Clean Air Act in Downers Grove that banned smoking in public places-like bars, restaurants, and casinos, is now on record with IR's own questionnaire as being AGAINST the Illinois Clean Air Act that bans smoking in public places-like bars, restaurants, and casinos, . Right?

Right?

Uocdoc,

Who in the hell cares about Chris Robling? You guys think everyone loves Ron because he is getting all the dough and endorsements from Springfield and Chicago. You know doc everyone isn't stupid like you think. Your pompous attitude along with with Don's think everyone will just lineup and love Ron because he is so supported, endorsed and capitalized (like that big word U-Doc?). You see many people see and now are saying "This guy is on the take, this guy is in for himself and all these groups giving him money! I am hearing Doc! Maybe you need to leave Prince, Saratoga, Middaugh or wherever you annoumously live and talk to people. It's a big district and believe it or not some people throw mailers right into the recyle bin immediately! Some people are very interested in what www.elections.il.gov tells them. One look at Teamster Rino Ron contributions and there are many and even an idiot will know who he'll serve and have to answer to. Doc only an idiot would think these Springfield and Chicago groups are giving all this dough to TRR because they love and adore him. THEY WILL WANT AND WILL GET FAVORS- DEALS, VOTES ETC. That's the game and Ron is right there in the middle of it! You know it and Chris Robling knows it and many voters now know it!

Chris Robling seems to be a pretty credible person. He shows up on WGN frequently to discuss the political implications of various events locally and around the world. Milt Rosenberg has had Mr. Robling on his WGN radio show. I am guessing that WGN invites him back for various venues because he provides a highly informed point of view. And Paul, just because we have differing views, that does not make me pompous. I think Mr. Robling's article exposes Mrs Boyle's mud slinging and deliberately misleading mailers for what they are.

Unfortunately, this is exactly how Debbie's supported operate. Rather than comment on the substance of the article, or speak positively about their candidate, they ATTACK! So much for a free debate of ideas. Notice how they continue to not address the fact the Debbie has hidden from the public again and again. Just more of the same old sad story.

Nothing new and nothing of substance. They feel if they capitalize everything it will have more meaning. Just another idiot screaming about nothing. I say we just concentrate on getting out Ron's messege and ignore the negativity!

Oh we know where she is and she more interested in talking with the people that count and That's the voters! Ron is Ron's biggest fan so he enjoys talking about Ron. Debbie enjoys talking to people (voters) many not even from her neighborhood...image that! She wants to know what THEY want.
I am not impressed with lists and Springfield insiders. I knew from day 1 they'd show their love for their man "Teamster Ron" see endorsement letter....http://www.dggab.com/images/forumo/teamsters.pdf
Remember this EVERYONE will not follow the Crowd that you put on display. People do THINK for THEMSELVES. THEY see the $$$ COMING IN and all are not IMPRESSED! THEY are not STUPID as you may think or easily impressed. MANY can connect the dots from CHICAGO TO DOWNERS GROVE TO SPRINGFIELD and figure out the game. This worries the SENATOR as when the GAMEPLAN is DISCOVERED ....the MAIN PLAYER MAY FALL.....NEVER SAY NEVER,.....BIGGER GIANTS HAVE FALLEN.....SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT FOR RON, DON, DOC, LEE,FRANK......WE THINK YOUR GAME PLAN IS BEING DISCOVERED.

I met the "mysterious" Boyel candidate when she knocked on our door after the last big snow. She was out in lousy weather, and she was very pleasant, and made a good impression. I would assume that's what she's been doing ever since. First time we ever had an actual candidate at our front door.

I don't care about endorsements. All those idiots that cause our ills patting each other on the back, all should get thrown out for wrecking our state. That's a list of the people who let the state go to hell and I'm done voting for any of them.

I like the Patch fine, but these kinds of articles serve what purpose? Political propaganda? I'll be glad when election season is over.

Go plant a Sandack sign somewhere! I am done listening to you and your Ron-Speak. I'd rather talk to the people who will vote. You can remain so exited over all your endorsers who are all in bed with Ron. Congrats and support your guy. Read the Teamster letter again. It has made it to all the corners of the District and people are asking "He didn't disclose the endorsement in 2007 when he ran for mayor? Why? " That question is haunting Ron and we know it. It will only go away on MARCH 21st! This I guarntee.

Read the letter Don! it's very authenic. Enjoy it, digest it and discuss it with your guy. Everyone is seeing it. Have Robling (ooh I am so impressed with him) take a look. Maybe he can come up with a reason it was buried since the camp has no problem. Voters are telling us they have a problem with it. I do know the district very well maybe better than as I have been educating the voters all across the towns that will vote. Many have voted for Debbie already in another election. Only 1 town, Naperville is where she never received a vote before because none of the children there went to DGN or DGS! Don, you know as does Ron that this is too close. Calling in Robling is par for the course and a couple days ago that $10k showed up. Whomever wins this wins it all in November. I know that and you know this. Big $ coming in late to secure the win. I know the game! But why? The polls (what polls) are telling you this? Where's Lee by the way? I heard heard he was ordering more Teamster Ron bobbleheads for the Big Celebration at Emmett's. Now don't get upset.....sacarsm is good in a heated race! Maybe Romney will interject a few words for Ron.

That's real classy Ron. No wonder you fit right in with the Springfield bunch. Trust me, Debbie is around and very engaged. She doesn't spend all her time making friends of special interest groups who could give a rats ass about the residents of this state. The biggest endorsement any candidate can hope for is from the voting public, something you seem to have ignored in this campaign. I have reached so many voters that don't even know you exist, imagine that. That you should be worried about. Good luck.

Here's why.

Ron may not have gotten the Tea Party endorsement, but his platform is appealing to people who either belong to the Tea Party or think along the same lines. Yet, he's been supported by an organization (the Teamsters) who have some deep disagreements with the Tea Party agenda.

Yet, the Teamsters have supported Ron for his mayoral run, and probably are supporting him this time.

So, I think the quote from Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. is fair game.

Considering that the Teamsters aren't exactly thrilled with the idea of pension reform for public employees in Illinois, that begs the question as to why they support Ron. Most Republicans I know couldn't get a Teamster endorsement, even if they tried to woo union leadership.

It's all very curious.

I guess Mr. Sandack and I just travel in different circles.

While he's been busy sweet talking Springfield insiders and union front groups such as Lunch Pail Republicans (a PAC funded with $50,000 from the Local No. 150 IUOE Local Area PAC) I've been going to the train stations, going door-to-door, standing on the sidewalk on Main Street talking to the folks passing by and meeting with all of our local Republicans.

I have been getting overwhelming support from the people I have met and its the ordinary residents of this district that I intend to represent, not the well connected power brokers and insiders my opponent prefers to hang with.

But its probably a good thing we travel in different circles, because whenever we are in the same room together he acts like I'm made out of Kryptonite.

Madam,

You are completely delusional. You have been hiding from every opportunity to face the public. Questionnaires, interviews, candidate panels - all absent (except for the rigged Tea Party meeting).

I guess that Thoman feels like if you are only in front of one or two people at a time you are less likely to damage your chances of being elected by saying something wrong.

The attacks by your staff are not only inaccurate but they are hateful and without class. Senator Sandack has never attacked you in this race yet he has been subject to the viciousness of your campaign.

Look at the endorsements! Your camp will scream "special interests" about Ron's endorsements but how about the Chicago Tribune, The Daily Herald, and the Naperville Chamber.

A debate would have been nice. An even playing field for voters to equally judge the two candidates, but I understand that you ran away from every opportunity.

The voters saw that and will address it with you on Tuesday.

How do you reconcile your pledges to be hyperpartisan and to represent the interests of the extreme of one party (your own words invoke the Tea Party) with the indisputable fact that your obligation, if elected, is to represent ALL of your constituents in all of their political and ideological diversity (the vast majority of which are not hyperpartisans of any sort) and the reality that compromise is essential to solving Illinois' very real and very dangerous imminent problems?

I used to write Paul Simon about a number of issues, taking the Reagan position. He would politely tell me that the President and I were wrong.

By the same token, don't we need a bit of hyperparison politics in Springfield? John Kass has been writing for years about the Combine, and the Republicans and Democrats work together to screw the taxpayers.

It seems to me that Debbie would be more likely to tell Mike Madigan that he is wrong than Ron would.

Debbie, why choose 3 days before the election to finally come out and "debate" Senator Sandack?

Busy? You’ve been ducking any and all forums where you’d be challenged as a candidate…

In fact, if you've had so much time to glad-hand with voters, why couldn't you show up for interviews by newspapers or fill out questionnaires where voters could get to know you? Afraid of the tough questions? Afraid you might have to speak without your index cards?

Yeah, if you get a tough question from an individual voter, simply move to the next, but if you mess up on a big stage such as a newspaper interview, you're toast... I guess your ideas would have to stand on their own out in the public square and if you were rebuked, you couldn't SUE to get your way...

I guess that's why they call you Lawsuit Debbie.

Many are asking: Why he didn't tell the voters in 2007 that the Teamsters threw him an endorsement? A few asked did they give a contribution? We couldn't find any but suspect the money went through a private donor. We didn't say it did just suspected it did. Anyway, the fact that the endorsement wasn't disclosed to the voters is very troubling to many.

CONGRATULATIONS SENATOR SANDACK!!!

The Mayors of Boilingbrook, Darien, Lisle, Naperville, Westmont and Woodridge just endorsed Ron Sandack for the 81st District!

Mayor Murphy - Woodridge
“I endorse Ron Sandack for our community because he knows what it will take to help us get the state out of our current financial crisis,” Murphy said. “Ron supports creating a lean, financially prudent and transparent government.”

Mayor Pradel - Naperville
“While serving as a mayor and state senator Ron has worked with our community to bring jobs to our area and put families back to work,” said Pradel. “He has worked to bring job friendly environment in Illinois and that needs to be our top priority. I am confident he will represent us well in Springfield.”

Fiction is what TEAMSTER RON's voting record is based on! I'm a homeowner and resident and have experienced it first hand in my property taxes and the sales taxes that your guy voted to raise 3 times! Not sure who the DOC is and that Frank Claro is a mystery. He couldn't be found anywhere! Lee, Jeff, Thomas and myself and you too Don have all experienced this sales tax increase that Ron approved everytime we buy something in DG. I will not pull out his voting record on these sales taxes since you all have seen the at least 20 times over the past 2 mos! Eileen, I''d give you credit for coming out in the open but not my listing. I would have never got involved if my business depended on people backing both sides. But you are courageous! Tessa is at least fun. Guys we are never going to agree. We have the letter for sure no matter what Chris Robling says and it is a document that speaks volumes about endorsements and coverups. You all think it's fine for Ron to be beholden to all these PAC's,Lobbyists and SIgroups. Did he refuse any of them on principle? Winning is all Ron is about at all costs. I know his game and really he has been remarkably sloppy these past weeks. Remember I told you this: If Ron wins this race on Tuesday, March 20th, he will have many many favors to return and most will NOT to individuals like you faithful followers. These favors will be to the list found on www.elections.il.gov and Ron will HAVE to repay them for their generosity.

Paul,

We have all experienced tax increases over the past decade. Are you blaming Ron for the state of the economy and inflation? You are clearly aware that Ms. Boyle also raised taxes in her short tenure as a D99 board member. You are also aware that her tax increases translated into lager amounts of money leaving your wallet than anything the VoDG passed.

You can clamor on about special interest groups all you want but what does it say about your candidate's ability to hold office when she have received almost no endorsements and Ron received the following endorsements (the last 6 today):

Chicago Tribune
Daily Herald
Naperville Chamber of Commerce
Bolingbrook Mayor
Darien Mayor
Lisle Mayor
Naperville Mayor
Westmont Mayor
Woodridge Mayor

Are these all special interest groups as well?

Illinois' underfunded pension liability now exceeds $85 billion.

Whew, that's a lot of chump change. Guess who will not be helping to return that to solvency? That's right, me. Wealth is leaving this state in droves. We will not be here to pick up the tab. We can vote with our feet and it's people like you that are precipitating the move. Who will be left to take care of this deficit? You! Take a look at all the million dollar condo's for sale in the city. Not a soul left to buy them. Anyone with wealth who is mobile would be a fool to invest in this state. So you want to elect Ron Sandack, a person that has proven he is in with the Springfield elite. Backed by groups that have been instrumental in driving a nail in the coffin of this state. Prudent people you are. You are willing to sell your children's future to these people who make the same promises over and over again while continuing on the same path. Ron Sandack is backed by the Springfield elite who have wielded their power to get all his endorsements. Not one of those endorsements represent the citizens of this state, they only represent a CAUSE and special interest. It is clear then the path that Mr. Sandack will and must take going forward. So we have bickered back and forth and have stated our case. Let's now forecast. Anyone want to take a stab at what Illinois will look like 5 years from now or in 2050? http://www.dggab.com/content.php?496-America-in-2050-Will-Illinois-stack-up

It's too far from Ron's house....lol He'd have to engage via handshake with people he might not know and that could get ugly if they asked him a question he didn't like. Stay on that FB, Twitter, text and email it's less confrontational for Ron. It's easier to bully and pursuade via social media for TRR! Stooping down to shake someone's hand, knocking on a door----I'm an appopinted Senator! Whoopy do da. TRR (fact) has never ran in or won a multi-suburb political race. But Lee, I'm not going to waste much time on you today. I just know it's Teamster Ron's race to win. He's got them all in his corner and a lot have voters have visited www.elections.il.gov and aren't as impressed with it all as you. Maybe they like me know that TRR will need to pay them all back and turn his back on us. Something to ponder as you applaude all these endorsements and contributions.....SAME OLD SAME CESSPOOL ILLINOIS ....Hopefully Tully will not follow because if any one knows Ron well it is he. Interesting though, the mayor of DG, Ron's hometown still on the sidelines. I know this bugs Ron and he is doing everything to convince Martin. Paul, just keep spinning and using your "Kool-Aid" references from 2007.

Ron has spend more days on the train platform then you can imagine. ZTHere were many of us there right beside him.

ALL of the 81st District Mayors have endorsed Ron. All except Mayor Tully who has never endorsed anyone before. When he ran unopposed for Mayor, he still refused to endorse anyone. Good luck waiting on him to start doing so now.

You can put up all of the signs you like and continue calling Ron a "teamster" if it helps you sleep at night but it doesn't change the facts in this election.

All of the negative campaigning has been from Debbie's side. The attack mailers in particular are disturbing to the folks we speak with.

You will continue to knock on doors until Tuesday, as will we. It would be refreshing if you and the rest of Debbie's minions could keep these online "debates" to an honest discussion of the candidates.

Naw! Who am I kidding. You wont rise to such a level. You will just keep on attacking and we will have to respond. Disgusting if you ask me.

I've never figured out HOW Debbie proposes to implement her platform. The general attitude that her various supporters here have projected is that she has no interest in getting along with anyone that has a different platform or idea.

I live in Darien and her personal touch really hasn't reached out here in the fringes. I had a Boyle supporter knock on my door the other day. He really didn't know anything about how and why ... he just pretty much knew what I knew from reading her website and what she has contributed to the Patch.

I own a small business in Downers Grove and belong to the Darien and Downers Grove Chambers. If she is interested in building small businesses (and growing them to create jobs) I would have thought she would be participating in our meetings. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing her at one, yet (and time is certainly running out).

Ron Sandack we can judge (good and bad) on what he has done in Springfield. Debbie we can only judge by the hows and whys of her platform. The things she has yet to share.

Now I've received a couple of negative campaign items from her concerning Teamster Ron. She lost me at that point. Ron wasn't my first choice when this started but the leader (Debbie) chose to throw in towel by deciding that it was easier to slam her opponent rather that sell us on her ideas for doing things differently.

The Krajewski sign remains in my front yard. The Boyle sign came down last week (it became an embarrassment),

Sorry for being late to today's party. I was out enjoying the morning with my family -- shorts on St. Patrick's day. Wow. I did vote for Debbie Boyle in the D99 election Paul. I was unaware when casting that vote that she had sued the District and lost that suit. I have since read comments from her that she ran for the D99 Board to address the wrongs that she experienced (mind you that a court sided with D99, not Mrs Boyle in the law suit). Had I understood that to be her reason for running, I would not have voted for her. In the 81st race, I am not too sure that she is running for the right reasons. She puts out mailers with expletives (which you excel at Paul), lies and calls her opponent a Teamster. Is that her platform? It strikes me as more of a Bashform. She will not discuss her votes to raise taxes in D99 every time she had the chance. Why does she not address those votes? About 1/3 of my property tax goes to D99 schools with Mrs Boyle voting for more and more taxes. Why does she not explain her votes to increase my taxes in a recession? If she is fine with taxing my property and spending without explanation within D99, what is her plan in Springfield? Bashing may not be too successful there -- she may actually need to engage in a discussion.

I leave you with one thing on this fine day:

Here's a tidbit for you Jeffrey -- during his term as Mayor of Downers Grove, Senator Sandack reduced the Village operating budget from $43 million to $39 million, and he balanced the budget. In case you are unaware, the major sources for funding of the Village come from property tax (about 10% of your prop tax bill) or sales tax. During Mayor Sandack's term in office, there was a recession that led to much lower sales tax collection. Internet sales which were not taxed locally also negatively impacted revenue traditionally raised through the sales tax. As a matter of fact, sales tax revenue, which had been the largest component of Village funding, fell to less than property tax revenue. So then-Mayor Sandack managed to cut the size of government and balance the budget, with Downers Grove's credit rating remaining among the highest in municipal governments (higher rating = lower interest on bonds). We have not seen a drop-off in the level of Village services either.
I admit to not doing my homework as you stated above -- I made a mistake in voting for Mrs Boyle, but she did a great job of covering up her intentions in running for D99 office. When she goes back to that post, maybe she can put together a new civics class about avoiding public forums and using advanced mudslinging tools in a political campaign -- she is a great case study.

And Ron didn't have aspirations for higher office? He could have told Dan Cronin no and remain as Mayor of Downers Grove, rather than lobby for the for appointment to the senate.

People around DG have said that Ron probably would have moved on to something higher at some point, if he had won a second term as Mayor. If he had lost to William Waldack, then he would have run for County Board or the General Assembly.

This was before Dan Cronin won as DuPage County Board President and needed to find someone to finish out his term in the senate.

Hi Don,

Unfortunately you tend to undermine your observation. Sandack did not reduce government expenses as a proactive action. Rather, he did it in reaction to the recession reducing tax revenue. Would Sandack have reduced the budget had there not been a recession and saved the tax payers money? I do not know, but probably not. Anyhow, Sandack probably deserves no more credit for reducing DG's budget and staff than Rick Perry does for increasing Texas' revenue which was due to an increase in oil prices over which he (and Sandack in context of this recession) had zero control.

Should Senator Sandack get credit for something he was simply reacting too?

"Senator Sandack reduced the Village operating budget from $43 million to $39 million,"
FALSE Appointed Senator Sandack cut the General Fund. The total appropriation os spending went up 30% from $100 MILLION to $130 MILLION.

"he balanced the budget. In case you are unaware"
by raising property taxes 17%, sales tax three times, a new water levy-hey, really more than you can keep track of.

"I admit to not doing my homework as you stated above"
AGREED

Barry:
The general fund is how the Village its day-to-day operations. Full time Village staff fell from 374 to 329 during Senator Sandack's tenure -- hence the fall in operating budget from $43 million to $39 million. Are you talking about spending on infrastructure improvements? The administration prior to Senator Sandack's kicked the can down the road for 8 years until something needed to be done. Did you notice how many streets looked like they were turning back to gravel? Did you like the repeated flooding of neighborhoods?. That was ex-Mayor Brian Krajewski's gift to us -- neglected infrastructure maintenance, which led to significantly bigger problems. That is why we are talking about a stormwater utility today. BK sure was good at not increasing taxes and turning Downers Grove back into a rural community with dirt roads and flooding. The infrastructure improvememts were long overdue, thanks to BK. If that is your issue, take it up with him. You are barking up the wrong tree.
And use your real name -- nobody cares about the offensive emails any more.

Total VoDG ONLY (excluding pension funds and library), increased by 4.301% over four years or, 1.075% per year (I said 1.2%)...

Contrast that to School District 99:

11.66 INCREASE (excluding pensions) and Lawsuit Debbie Boyle voted for EVERY tax increase 100% of the time with Democrats.

ALMOST 3x more!!!

Lee,
Did you leave Emmett's and go to Library with your Laptop to get all this info to us? I see UoCdoc Teamster Ron is back! Did you guys round up that missing endorsement yet? Couldn't get Captain C to convince him? I know Ron was out walking all day..yeah right...more like shaking hands at Emmett's and Ballydoyle. Did he hit Gatto's? Such a fun St.Pat's Day. Uocdoc = Ron. I will attack your recorde even if you do win. Mr. Crane's informative website will be here to stay! We'll need to keep an eye on the RINO should he win. DOCRON - same old same old pay to play taking all that dough from any PAC, Spec-int group or lobbyist that will give it to you! Pathetic followers for some reason can't see this all. Pretty crystal clear to me and MANY others. We know the game and you're not too original but I have to hand it to you....you are good at packaging! Say bye bye to the Senator logo...it's Christine's! Rep Ron doesn't sound as high and mighty! What title do you get if you lose? I am pass the point of how you raised taxes every chance you have! As a voter I am upset that you didn't tell me (VOTER) in 2007 that you received an endorsement from the TEAMSTERS. What gave you the right to not disclose this and I am not sure if money came with it. So much for TRANSPARENCY DOC-RON! I know Jeff, I, AC and Dan F. really bother you. Where's Thomas did George Anderson put him to sleep. DOC-RON...it's funny. I told AC, you'd be back around 5pm. I am good!

The title of this article is Debbie Boyle - Nowhere to be found right?

She failed to appear at all but one of the candidate panels
(the one she appeared at, Ron was told he was not permitted to speak at)

She failed to respond to most of the newspaper requests for candidate information

She has refused to debate Ron despite repeated requests to do so

Sounds like the article is correct......she is nowhere to be found

There is a lot of energy spent on this blog among people who are not going to change each others minds.

The Wall Street Journal advises that, in about 10 years or less, 85% of U.S. municipalities will be bankrupt.

Perhaps you folks, who understand the DG budgets could channel your energy into understanding if / if not DG will fall into tha 85%.Our nation and its municipalities are sick, very, very sick. The national debt increase $50,000 every second.

Perhaps you folks can figure out a cure rather than beat on each other.

Patch61 -- the WSJ may be correct which means we are all in trouble no matter whether our community is solvent or not. I would prefer solvency., and let them try to take our money Based on my observation of the management of Downers Grove during the past 25 years (sometimes better, sometimes worse), we have been well-outside of the default zone, and investors recognize that in our current high debt rating. We pay for what we get -- that is the fact. I would be happy to provide documentation of that to you.

Great that Patch is up again. I will post the dialogue when we were interrupted.
Jeffery:
Nice try diverting the fact that Ron raised taxes 17%. You stated that you do not like your taxes raised especially while in a recession and he raised yours. Now you deflect, as usual. And then we have Lee, long time 7 year resident of Downers Grove who will educate us on the the "real" facts. Feel free to show us your documentation and charts. I will be interested in seeing them.

And here is what I said to Jeffrey:
You post your proof first Jeffrey. The website link that you have sent out on Patch for over1/2 year is your website. It is Jeffrey's Grove, not Downers Grove. You make up "facts" on that site as you need them for your purposes. You gave $3500 to Mrs Boyle's campaign (what's up with that?). You routinely make statements with no factual basis. When challenged, you do not answer. One of your favorite behaviors is to suggest that anyone with a different opinion -- me, for instance -- will somehow profit from a "non-Jeffrey" view. That is slanderous, but a favorite for you.
I was surprised that Mrs Boyle accepted you as a campaign contributor. I did no more than take a different point of view and you attacked me with lies and baseless innuendo. Maybe Mrs Boyle needed the money to continue an uninspired, mudslinging campaign. You asked "where's the beef." Right on Jeffrey, where is the beef?

Lee

8:55 pm on Saturday, March 17, 2012

Don - His missives are all like a Noam Chomsky essay. A lot of "facts" but when they are put together make no sense. Here's how...

Jeffrey Crane wants someone who doesn't raise taxes. Yet supports Lawsuit Debbie Boyle who voted with Democrats 100% of the time on District 99 School Board to do what? Raise taxes.

Jeffrey Crane hates pensions. Yet the only candidate in the HISTORY of the Illinois legislature to turn down his pension is Ron Sandack and what? Jeffrey's against. Ron Sandack also introduced legislation to END legislative pensions, yet, Jeffrey's against him. Ron Sandack is also the co-sponsor on a bill to REFORM PUBLIC pensions, yet Jeffrey's still against him...

Jeffrey Crane hates corruption and back room deals. Yet the only candidate in the HISTORY of the Illinois legislature to introduce legislation to ELIMINATE the Scholarship Program is Ron Sandack and what? Jeffrey's against.

Jeffrey Crane hates career politicians. Yet the only candidate to introduce legislation to enact term limits in the General Assembly is Ron Sandack and what? Jeffrey's against.

There's the beef Jeffrey. You'll spin it somehow like you always do which is a shame... You're supporting the wrong candidate.

The most meaningful, single best endorsement in this mud fest has been local long time Journalist Elaine Johnson.
The single worst endorsement is the Tea Party.

God help us all if there is anybody reading these comments that has not made up their mind in this race.

If you are new, please ignore the children and look for comments and postings by Elaine Johnson and Don Jankowski, Barry Allen (Flash)

Many of the other posters are opinionated in a fun way, but you should still be thankful you are not related. Most of the other posters appear only to say bad things about their opponent.

Stay far away from mutton heads Jeffery Crane, and Paul C. They are examples that when you blindly follow and root you are in a cult or a Cub fan.

Nurses have unions. http://www.nationalnursesunited.org/press/entry/robin-hood-will-search-city-for-world-leaders/

At Main street station I asked 2 different Boyle supporters why I should vote for her? The answers were a stream of ‘Sandack is a bad guy thoughts’. No pro Boyle

Over and over I see on these posts “The Heat is On”, then Sandack’s offices burn. Hmmm. Coincidence?

Is the reason Debbie only goes in person so she can lie and have no record of her lies. I think courting the folks that open the doors is an intriguing strategy. Sandack can get to more people using new media. The question is does the wired community vote. Generally, old people vote at a higher rate than young people. Generally , old people are not wired.

If Paul C. says “a fact is a fact” in the forest will anybody care if he falls?

To quote a noted DgReport editor, Mrs. Johnson: Sandack often has said people of good faith can disagree—a sentiment with which I wholeheartedly agree—but his actions frequently contradict that. It’s as if his litigation background compels him to not just go for win, but to utterly crush the opposition. Unfortunately, turning colleagues, constituents and neutral parties into political enemies is at odds with effective governance, particularly on the local and state level.

DG Caribou -This pretty much how Ron has ruled the roost since 2007! He even thought he'd bury that Teamster endorsement in March of 2007.....I can post a copy of the letter if you wish. A great example of Transparency....what a farce! The council power play another move Ron probably wishes he could reverse. Who knows how much damage that one has incurred. Ron thinks the voters aren't watching all this! Many are tuned in. Many are wondering why he is beholden to all this dough also. They are not ALL blindly following . They can view it all on www.elections.il.gov . Ron's FIVE TO REVIVE is buried now as he fights off the Teamster Letter, Council and SpecInt Group / PAC/ Lobbyist $$$ questions. Not everyone has layed down and succumbed to all his rhetoric. We may not pull it out Tuesday but we have made Ron work. You have to admit that we have fought hard. The winner here are the voters. They have a choice! Christine on the other hand walks in as our re-elected Senator unchallenged.

Well DG Caribou (whoever you are!)

I commend you on knowing where to get the better coffee of the two chains in DG. My hope is that the winner of this close race also will be from that side of the tracks.

As far as your opinion goes, let me first ask you where you have been the past 3 months? You can drink more orange cool aid in the meantime. If your boy, Teamster Ron wins you can throw a party and he loses he may need a good shrink.

At this point in the race, all of our opinions start becoming meaningless because we have all been blogging and ripping each other and each other's candidate for months! Everyone knows Lee and I are the smart asses! Jeff and Don are the intellects but stll add a bit a humor. Thomas is MIA (banded with BB). UoCdoc (ie-Ron) blogs like a lawyer ....you should delete that... I said delete this! Frank and Barry just some alias along with Jimmy (he made a grand apparence last night). AC with his Political Bobblehead Action Committee gets the best laugh award of the blog. Eileen, Tessa and Melanie all bring their own style. Dan F and Scott bring a whole other view!

Kent Frederick

12:11 pm on Sunday, March 18, 2012

If you read John Kass in the Tribune, you know that he has a pretty low opinion of the Combine. That is the regular Democrats and establishment Republicans who want to continue the way things have been in Illinois for decades.

Remember that, despite Glenn Poshard running a strong campaign, the Democrats felt they could better deal with George Ryan than Poshard. Poshard was a little too honest for their taste.

Kass took Mitt Romney to task in today's column, because he keeps avoiding the issue of retaining Patrick Fitzgerald as U.S. Attorney. Politicians from both parties would like to see a new U.S. Attorney who won't go after political corruption

Now, which candidate is being supported by GOP establishment? Ron Sandack. If he wins, the Democratic organizations within the 81st District may decide to not run someone against Sandack. In Illinois, that isn't so much a sign that the Democrats can't win, as it is that the Democrats can live with the GOP candidate.

If Debbie Boyle wins, we probably will see a Democrat put on the ballot for the general election. That would be a signal that the Democrats are uncomfortable with Debbie and are willing to put some money towards beating her.

Yes, Ron talks the talk. He convinced the Tribune editorial board. But, the past says he may not walk the walk. We know that Debbie won't be strictly following the marching orders from the Combine.

Nice try Kent, but actually it's just the opposite.

Democrats couldn't beat Sandack in the 81st so they wouldn't waste the resources.

Lawsuit Debbie would be prime picking... They would attack her relentlessly in a district that could be a Democratic pick-up (not saying much considering she voted for tax increases 100% of the time with Democrats). Contrary to what Jeffrey and Paul C might say, Ron Sandack has NOT attacked Lawsuit Debbie Boyle and the attacks by the Democrats would be relentless.

Won't matter anyway. Ron will win by 30 points. Anyone want to take the over/under with me?

Don Jankowski

3:12 pm on Sunday, March 18, 2012

Kent:
I think you missed the point of today's column by John Kass. The criticism was about Mr. Romneys lack of understanding of the corruption issues that we face in Illinois. Apparantly, Mr. Romney had no clue as to who Patrick Fitzgerald was or the role that he has played in reigning in political corruption in this state. So the criticism was about the candidate's lack of knowledge regarding a major Illinois issue -- and Kass found that disturbing. Then you took huge leap of faith in concluding that "both parties would like to see a new US Attorney [in Illinois] that won't go after corruption." That is not what Kass said -- you did.
Your definition of the Combine is interesting. Paraphrasing from Kass, the Combine is the arrangement across party lines, with politically powerful men leveraging government to make money off of taxpayers -- it is not committed to any political party. I think your definition is a bit off the mark.
If you have proof that anyone that endorsed Sen Sandack have made money off of taxpayers through unethical dealings, please provide it -- insinuations are not proof. Sen Sandack is not getting rich off of his position. He introduced legislation for term limits which would automatically break up the Combine. He has declined benefits, introduced legislation to eliminate legislative pensions, & refused to hand out scholarships. He has been very "un-Combine" thusfar -- seems like he is walking the walk. And I think Kass would agree with me.

Can someone please address why people should vote for Deb over Ron when:

All the Mayors in the 81st District endorsed Ron.
(except Tully who endorsed no one, again)
The Illinois Medical Society endorsed Ron.
(over Debbie who is a nurse)
The Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nursing Association endorsed Ron.
(over Debbie who is a nurse)
The Chicago Tribune endorsed Ron.
The Daily Herald endorsed Ron.
The Naperville Chamber of Commerce endorsed Ron.
The NRA endorsed Ron.

You guys can attack his supporters all you like. It's vile and juvenile, but it's how you have chosen to operate. Poke all the fun you want at one PAC or another.

But in your attacks, you fail to address that fact that so many important and distinguished organizations, like those listed above, have strongly indicated Ron to be the best choice.

OK Morons,

Since you can't seem to figure out even a simple legal document, permit me to help you. (I know I will be accused of being Ron again for talking about a legal document). I don't care any more.

You document shows Ron Sandack and three other Board members as a Plaintiff in those cases.
He was a private pension fund Trustee / Board member in those cases.
The Counsel for the Boards are the Plaintiffs in these suits. Under law are required to list all board members. (basic business knowledge)
The pension board is made up of management trustees like Ron and the others listed)
The pension board is also made up of union trustees, in this case the Teamsters.

When a company stops paying the benefits it owes, the Board's counsel brings a collection case. Hence the documents you people keep pointing at. This happens in nearly every corporate bankruptcy case.

You should at the least, feel embarrassed by this gaff. Any 1st year law student can confirm the information I have stated by simply examining the document you have.

Please, don't take my word for it. Take your document to an attorney and ask him or her to describe the filing to you.

But we all know that you won't do that! You will just continue to pretend that it show's Ron in bed with the IBT. Even after you not know it to be incorrect. At a minimum it shows that you are very dishonest.

What does that say about your candidate's values?

You should at the least, feel embarrassed by this gaff. Any 1st year law student can confirm the information I have stated by simply examining the document you have.

Please, don't take my word for it. Take your document to an attorney and ask him or her to describe the filing to you.

But we all know that you won't do that! You will just continue to pretend that it show's Ron in bed with the IBT. Even after you not know it to be incorrect. At a minimum it shows that you are very dishonest.

What does that say about your candidate's values?

Nice to see Dirty Debbie Boyle finally updated her web site with more negative adds.

I'm not sure what's more despicable; trying to substantiate her "dirty hit pieces" on her official campaign web site, or knowing she's lying about them in the first place.

No shame and all blame Dirty Debbie.

Uocdoc you can't have it both ways! You can't represent and defend pension funds for employees and then say you are for all this pension reform. Maybe Ron should have thought about this suit before getting involved. But suing is what Ron does for a living isn't it? Litigation is Ron's profression. This was not a wise decision was it Uocdoc? You guys can spin this all you want but there is definitely a lapse in judgement and even the average citizens sees the conflict here. Really doc it's pretty clear even to the "common folk" like us. One of the main reasons Illinois is the #45 worst state in America to start a business is because lawyers turned politicans have passed laws and more laws and taxes and more taxes! Ron is the chosen one and everybody knows it! We are not surprised he was endorsed and received a whole lot of $ from all the Springfield and Chicago biggies....it's all documented neatly on www.elections.il.gov. We fully expected it doc. Only a moron who not have! Dupage County Chairman Cronin hand picked Ron and appointed him senator and told him he would not be running for senator against Senator Radango and that he was needed as our next Illinois State Rep in a new district (81). That's how it went correct Uocdoc? So Cronin lined up al the endorsements, contributions from PAC's, Spec Int groups and Lobbyists. Ron would be a shoe in and maybe not have an opponent like Senator Radango. Enter Time to Earn It! DB putting up a fight isn't she? .

Paul,

Thank you for responding to me. Ron did not sue in these cases. The Board he sat on did. Even Debbie's website acknowledged that when they listed him as a "party plaintiff" and the the actual plaintiff. Ron cannot receive a single penny in a suit like this.

Ron had one vote on the entire board as to if they should have filed that suit. I don't know which way he voted but I hope that he voted in favor of it. My reasoning is that the suit protected the rights of the employees who were getting screwed by their employer. Private employees who paid into their retirements plans with a promise from their employer to do the same. Their employer did not. Their employer was about to go bankrupt. How is protecting the workers a bad thing?

Ron is for PUBLIC pension reform. This is the system which is broken. He was the first person EVER in the Illinois general Assembly to refuse his pension.

First of all Ron is not a crooked politician. If you have proof to the contrary, I suggest you present it here or to the US Attorney's office. Secondly, what makes you think today was a tough day? Is it the posting on Boyle's website of the two documents? These are part of the public record and no one attempted to hide them!

I know this is a challenging concept for you to grasp but these documents do not mean what you and/or Paul C. proclaims. It's not opinion sir, it is fact.

<From my post above>

Your document shows Ron Sandack and three other Board members as Party Plaintiffs in those cases.

So many you and the guys can't address them all. You can only conceal the truth for so long. Even if he wins, all of these contributions will be out there for the voters to see and judge. We won't go away and will watch every move Ron makes. So try to spin and not address letters, dockets and out of state casino's giving $. The council event is still alive out there also. Have fun Lee because I know and you know this is a closer race than you think. You really shouldn't jinx Ronnie by saying he will win by 30 percent. There are no for sure methods of polling this one. The Voters and not Ron's buddies from all over incluuding Pennsylvania will decide. Weather forecast looks great! GOP Presidential race is hot. She's first on the ballot. Turnout should be 25-30 percent. Lots of factors Lee! Bigger giants have fallen. Don't worry too much. The news on Ron is spreading. One never knows.

Ron Sandack, candidate for 81st district house representative, received a campaign donation from Penn National Gaming for $2,500. A gaming company from Pennsylvania! What’s with that you ask?

Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) are often in the news. Summer 2010 saw these developments:

Penn National Gaming announced it will open the first casino in Maryland, less than two years after voters approved VLTs.

The Illinois Gaming Board began setting up a system to issue licenses for the first VLTs in that state, probably early next year. As many as 10,000 bars, restaurants and others might apply.

Ron Sandack is taking money from every special interest group and corporation that have legislative and political aspirations in the state of Illinois.

Voters should be very aware and concerned by the future legislative ramifications of these donations. I might add that these donations are coming in at an alarming rate to a candidate that has never held an elected office as a state representative and was only appointed to his present position less than one year ago. The vast majority of the electorate in the 81st district have never heard of Ron Sandack and could not pick him out of a crowd. Again, who will he be representing if elected to represent the 81st district. The answer is very clear. Follow the money!

Jeffrey Crane -- (also, in no particular order, Melanie C [aka Jeffrey's spouse with a lot of aliases], Paul C, AC [likely A Crane], Dan F.[aka Barry the Inappropriate, but he can disclose that], Jimmy [aka Mr Boyle], and Mrs Boyle -- OK, lets not forget Brian K) -- sorry if I left someone out. You have deliberately delivered one of the nastiest mud slinging attacks against a candidate that I have ever seen -- Jeffrey, you have done this for over 1/2 year and $3500. Is that like buying an option? You make up facts and put them on your make-believe website. When I tried to engage in a conversation on this blog a few weeks ago about your candidate to learn about her record relative to Sen Sandack, you slandered me. Mrs Boyle posted a piece on this string and then ran away from further comment. And the best endorsement for your candidate is from a former editor of Patch that states that she does not identify closely with either political party. Yet your support of Mrs Boyle is based on Tea Party, conservative Republican "values," and being a Republican (which I believe excludes independents which you labeled Sen Sandack). So I guess you have rejected that endorsement, or maybe converted the endorser to the Tea Party. Clean up your act. This is an important election. No more lies. And "butt wipe" is not a term of endearment, so ask Mrs Boyle to call her dogs off. I am a Certified Pet Dog Trainer and can help with that.

Type in Debbie Boyle. You'll find:

Dirty Debbie Boyle gets more cash from Cicero Dan Proft:

Empowering Children PAC - Dan Proft - 3/16/2012 - $10,000

Illinois Opportunity Project - Dan Proft - 3/16/2012 - $10,000

Dan Roeser - Dan Proft's other Sugar Daddy - 3/7/2012 - $5,000

Richard Uihlein - Dan Proft's Sugar Daddy - 2/27/2012 - $5,000

Libert PAC - Dan Proft's - 12/17/2012 - $5,000

$35,000 total raised by Cicero Dan Proft which paid for all of Dirty Debbie Boyle's negative campaign ads.

$43,150 raised by her ENTIRE campaign thus far meaning 81% of her campaign is funded by ONE person?

I am just curious. Will Ron be closing out his campaign account after the election or is that another reversal of policy now that he is in the "big leagues"? He was so proud of that electioneering proposal when he ran for Mayor. I haven't heard him address it in this campaign.

Five to Revive - Teamster Ron's new definition:

1.) City Council - 4 blockeads
2.) Image if I win
3.) Image if I lose
4.) Confidence in me if I lose
5.) Confidence in me if I win

We have helped Ron with his Transparency issue. His letter from March 2007 and the dockets of those lawsuits are circulating all over District 81. We support Transparency!

Jimmy, text me your address. I'll get those beautiful signs over in the morning. Deb's still has the elephant on hers because she is a Republican and proud of it and you can actually see her signs from the street.
The era of appointment is about to end. Tomorrow is a critical day for Ron in the final day of the era to earn it. Most voters should be happy he will have had to earn it if in fact he does win. Candidates with more tenure like Christine get to walk right in. It's a shame Ron has had to earn it. But he hasn't quite earned it yet. Lots of factors, all have to admit. Many are positive for both candidates. We like that First spot on the ballot. Luck of the Irish you might call it on that flip. Don't think too much because we can live with a loss but can Ron. Let's see what he does tomorrow. We all know he'll go to extremes to win as Elaine said.

She wouldn't show up for interviews to be vetted. NOONE could ask her tough questions.

Same old list. Always at the parties. Hotdogs and beer. Friends and neighbors who cannot think for themselves. Many given favors, appointments in town etc. They we able to get him elected in Downers Grove. The 81st district is a little bigger. Hope you didn't stay up to late writing it. Ron seems to like lists because he thinks it impresses people. It is a little arrogant isn't it. Well, I didn't count the number of people on your list, but i figure it's about 200 out of 25,000 ballots. You lose!

Voters of the 81st District. The people on Lees list that are supporting Ron Sandack think this type of politics, the same old politics, the politics that has made your children's futures in Illinois very costly and uncertain, think this is acceptable. Please read......

Ron Sandack, candidate for 81st district house representative, received a campaign donation from Penn National Gaming for $2,500. A gaming company from Pennsylvania!

Be very aware and concerned by the future legislative ramifications of these donations. These donations are coming in at an alarming rate to a candidate that has never held an elected office as a state representative and was only appointed to his present position less than one year ago. The majority of the electorate in the 81st district have never heard of Ron Sandack. Who will he be representing if elected to represent the 81st district. The answer is very clear. Follow the money!

Melanie,

I searched for that post but was unable to locate it. I suspect that if it existed, it may have been removed. I also suspect that a comment like that coming from Lee was expected to be taken as hyperbole but you will have to ask him.

I will not tell Lee that I "hope someone sues him". As I previously stated in a public message to both you and your husband, as well as the rest of the Patch readers, that my previous comments about "suing" were over the line and that I later regretted making them. I continue to feel that way today and therefore I do not intend to make the same mistake twice.

Good job Lee! At least 60 % of them live between Stonewall and Main and Ogden and the tracks! Have you looked at the District map? This is a multi-city race with bewtween 22,000 and 25,000 minimum expected to show up and vote. Many will enter that ballot box with the presidential question to solve and not know Debbie Boyle or Ron Sandack from Debbie Boone or Ronald McDonald. We like that top spot on the ballot. Many people have pitched the mailers right into the recyle bin that they received from all the candidates. I even wonder how many voters are watching all of us blog? It's entertainment for us because we are passionate about our candidates. But really we all know Ronnie is the big favorite and it would be hugh if Deb knocked him off! None of us are 100% sure that we know how people will vote tomorrow. Ron wll carry the PD area. This I will give you for sure. The south side of town is big. How many will vote?. But keep in mind many living in the other 6 suburbs that will vote don't know much about either but plan to vote for the president. They are busy living their lives, watching America's Next Idol, Family Guy, NCAA Final Four etc etc. They are apathetic but may drag their lazy butts to the polls because the media has made them slightly interested in the GOP pres race. Guys, we all know that's the way it is out there. Ron is the big favorite but Debbie has fought. Tuesday is the telling day and many voters could give a rats ass what any of us are blogging about.

OK. I'll come clean...

Do I believe that Debbie Boyle punched a 3 year old? No. My source told me it was more of a slap if anything... Taken in context with your pal Dan F (Mr. Inappropriate Emails) saying that Senator Sandack accosted a woman Thursday night, it proves once again you and your wife a hypocrites... Not a word about that. I did delete the post as a self censure though and certainly didn't need it to be pointed out by either of you.

It's be blasted all over twitter and facebook. Really looks good that Ron's main blogger thinks before he hits submit.

Here's a fact that Ronnie boy "forgot" to tell the voters about back in March of 2007. It was real TRANSPARENT", He didn't want us all to know the Teamsters were supporting him. It wouldn't have been the way to start the Era of Time for Change.

Paul, again lying is wrong. Just because you didn't see the endorsement letter doesn't mean there was a grand "conspiracy". But since you brought up endorsements, here are just a few of Ron Sandacks:

Illinois Medical Society
Illinois Society of Advanced Practice Nursing Association
National Association of Social Workers of Illinois
Chicago Tribune
Daily Herald
National Rifle Association
Illinois State Rifle Association
Naperville Chamber of Commerce
All of the Mayors from the 81st District (except one who refused to endorse anyone)
Senator Christine Radogno
Senator Kirk Dillard
Rep. Michael Connelly

Hundreds more at: http://www.ron4illinois.com/support.html

If the people think that being endorsed by SO MANY corporations, pacs and OTHER politicians is going to create change, you are wrong. These types of endorsements and support are the SAME ones that have always occurred. What makes this candidate any different from the past ones who have traveled this road? How will Illinois mend when you have the same old antics recurring? MONEY MONEY MONEY has NOT taken care of the PEOPLE. It has been a self-serving too taken FROM the people and used/abused by our elected and trusted politicians. In order to break the strangle hold on our state, we need less big money and more big local participation. This is the only way to keep candidates/politicians in check!!! Wake up people! Use just a small portion of your God given brains. It shouldn't be this difficult

Welcome to the Era of Earn It: Ron is no NYBO running against Dillard. The re-route through the House isn't as Cronin or Ron thought. We have enjoyed this war in the 81st District. Whomever wins will be watched closely and held accountable for their votes in the HOUSE. We'll welcome whomever to a new era, "The Era of Accountablity". Just letting all know and that website of Jeff's you all like so much. www.dggab.com will be up and running. It will be a new era and the "players" won't like it too much. We have a grassroots bunch growing here in DG and the district and we'll be monitoring all the moves. "Transparency" we'll demand!

To quote the Downers Grove Bugle 03/15/12:

Rather than challenge Republican colleague state Sen. Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) in a newly drawn district, Sandack the former mayor of Downers Grove is making a bid for the new House seat.
If elected to the new seat, Sandack, who works as an attorney, says he would concentrate on reforming public pensions, which he calls “unsustainable.” He would also work to make Illinois a more business-friendly state

Paul - I like quotes also:

Adam Andrzejewski,-- “I support Ron Sandack for his extremely strong leadership on four key issues: i) pension reform and the elimination of legislative pensions; ii) End of corporate giveaways. He was only one of four senators to vote against the Sears/CME bill; iii) Term limits. He took action in Downers Grove on the issue and spearheads the issue in Springfield; and iv) Elimination of unnecessary or redundant units of government.”

The Chicago Tribune -- “Few public officials walk the walk like Republican Sen. Ron Sandack, of Downers Grove. Appointed in 2010, he has declined state pension and health care benefits and refused to participate in the scandal-ridden legislative scholarship program. He gets high marks for his work ethic — he's famous for actually reading the bills — and he's not afraid to take the heat for an unpopular vote. He's endorsed over Deborah Boyle"

The Daily Herald—“Our choice is easy: state Sen. Ron Sandack. We like Sandack’s ideas on governmental reform. He introduced a bill calling for term limits on state legislators — he’ll abide by his idea of a 10-year limit regardless of whether it ever gets approved — and he has turned down both the pension health care benefits, saying the job is part-time and benefits should not be part of the deal. His priorities are creating jobs, reforming the pension systems and restructuring the budget with at least a 10 percent spending cut across the board.

In doing my errands today I saw tons of Boyle signs at 355 ramps, empty lots and parkways. My daughter asked me if she had a lot of signs laying around if they can put them in these places. She asked why Sen. Sandack didn't have his signs up and I told her that his were in people's yards that were going to vote. Why waste signs in parkways and highway ramps, such a turnoff! Even a teenager saw the logic in that!

Tessa -- they are on every vacant lot, public right of way and shopping center that is out there. Typically, it is Boyle and Krajewski. Whoever put them up are probably direct descendants of the Vandals (for Paul, east Germanic tribe that sacked Rome in the 5th century) -- hence, vandalism. And illegal.

Melanie -- you are the liar, and are married to one too. Your candidate is a public/abandoned property spammer, and her signs typically appear with Krajewski signs. If anyone sees a sign on a major thoroughfare from Boyle and Krajewski, I hope they ask themselves if the property owner consented to that placement. I expect you to illegally place signs outside of polling places tomorrow too. That is what BK -- the esteemed head of the DGTRO -- typically does on election morning for himself and his puppets. Great Republican values.....
