Mike Krucek 4 Mayor Hosts Chamber Business After Hours

I'm happy to announce that I will be hosting a business after hours through the Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce. The date is March 19th, from 5 to 7 PM.

The location is Shanahan's, 1999 75th Street, Woodridge

I've brought together one of our well-established eateries and one of our newest Chamber members to help with this event. There will be food and drinks provided by Shanahan's, along with food prepared by Tiye Sherrod of C & P Culinary Designs.

This is yet another opportunity to meet me and ask questions. Let's talk about how we can work together to keep our business community strong.

While this is a Chamber event I am inviting anyone to stop by. You will need to rsvp so we know how many to expect. You can find more information here - http://www.chambermaster.com/directory/jsp/events/EventPage.jsp?ccid=317&eventid=6216

I look forward to seeing you.

I feel that it is not proper to use the Chamber of Commerce for a campaign fund raiser. I am a member of the Chamber as well as a candidate for Trustee and I strongly feel that this is a definite conflict and wrong--I would like to see the Chamber's by-laws.

Any Chamber member is allowed to host a business after hours, showcasing what they have to offer the business community and providing networking opportunities for all Chamber members. My campaign is a paid Chamber member and as such can host an event such as this. This is not a fundraiser as it is free to attend. Thanks, and I hope to see you at Shanahan's on March 19.

It is the Chamber of Commerce getting involved in politics, regardless of the fact that any member can host a business after hours. The Chamber has no business allowing such political events. I have continued to research the Chamber of Commerce regarding their financial situation after my recent comment and reaction from the Chamber of Commerce.....and have some inside information having talked to several insiders from other area Chambers and when I complete the research I will share with all. In the meantime the Woodridge Chamber of Commerce build a reputation for political involvement which is so wrong
