More About Woodridge Community Resource Center
The Woodridge Community Resource Center falls under the Woodridge Police Department. However, its office is located in a strip mall at Janes Avenue and 83rd Street, right by Cypress Cove. The center attracts kids after school and provides parenting classes, ESL and computer classes to the entire community. Its two main programs are its after school and summer camp programs. In 2006, the Woodridge Community Resource Center began a Latino Outreach Program to address cultural differences in the community, increase the Latino population's awareness of its public safety and stop unsafe behaviors. The program was one of 73 finalists in the 2006 Awards for Municipal Excellence.
