Football Preview: DGN vs. Defending State Champs, DGS Seeks First Win

We're into week 3 of the high school football season. Here's what's on tap this weekend:

Hinsdale South (0-2) was shut out at Downers Grove North last week, 28-0. This week, they'll need much more offense, as they host Willowbrook (1-1), which scored 62 points last week. The game is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Hinsdale South. 

Hinsdale Central (1-1) evened its record with a 36-14 win at Addison Trail last week. This week the Red Devils begin conference play at York (2-0), which has scored 107 points in two games (though against weak competition). The game is at 7:30 p.m. Friday at York. Watch the game live on High School Cube. 

Downers Grove South (0-2) lost 19-12 at Proviso West last week, and this weekend they face another 0-2 team in Addison Trail. The Blazers have allowed 39 and 36 points in their first two games. The game is at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Addison Trail.

Downers Grove North (2-0) still hasn't given up a point this season, shutting down Hinsdale South 28-0 last week. This week the Trojans get a chance to prove they're for real when defending state champion Glenbard West (1-1) pays a visit. The game is at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Downers Grove North. Watch the game live on High School Cube.
