Football Preview: DGS Looks to Win Third Straight

We're into Week 5 of the high school football season. Here's what's on tap this weekend:

Hinsdale South (1-3, 1-1 in conference) finally got a win last week, topping winless Proviso East 29-6. This weekend they get another winless conference foe in Addison Trail (0-4). The game is at 7:30 Sept. 27 at Hinsdale South. 

Hinsdale Central (3-1, 2-0 in conference) outscored its first two conference opponents 61-7, but gets a big test this weekend against defending state champion Glenbard West (3-1). The game is at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at Glenbard West. 

Downers Grove South (2-2, 2-0 in conference) is back to .500 after beating 1-3 Morton 21-14 last week. This weekend they stay in conference against Leyden (1-3). The game is at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at Leyden.

Downers Grove North (2-2, 0-2 in conference) has dropped two straight after shutting out its first two opponents. Oak Park-River Forest won 16-10 last week. This weekend, the Trojans host Lyons Township (1-3). The game is at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at DGN. Watch the game live on High School Cube.
