Ribbon-Cutting for National Title Solutions; Kitten Found

·      The Woodridge Chamber of Commerce is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony for National Title Solutions, Inc. (3550 Hobson Rd., Woodridge) at 1:00 p.m., with refreshments following the celebration; all are invited.

·      Resident Debbie Kennedy reports having found a cat on Alden Lane in Darien (just outside Woodridge) last week on July 24. No picture, but the kitty is described as a tortoiseshell, about six months old and weighing six pounds. If anyone lost such a cat, call 630-910-1845.

·      Got a passion for roadwork? The Village of Woodridge is promoting the Illinois Tollway’s 2013 Construction Careers Expo that runs from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Aurora campus of Waubonsee Community College (18 S River St, Aurora) “Various organizations will be available to answer questions and provide information on how to get started in a roadway construction career,” the Village post reads.
