Here’s some of what’s going on in and around Woodridge for Wednesday, Aug. 21:
· It’s Junior High Link Day at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School (7200 Janes Ave., Woodridge) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. “Junior high students accompanied by an adult are invited to visit Thomas Jefferson Junior High to tour the building, locate their classrooms, and try their locker combinations.” Visit the District 68 website for more information.
· Rep. Ron Sandack is hosting a free “Family Health Fair” on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Indian Boundary YMCA (711 59th Street, Downers Grove.) “Free blood pressure, asthma and BMI screening along with fl shots will be provided for adults. For a small fee, the DTap vaccine will be available for children. Representative Sandack and his staff will be available at the event to discuss state issues, constituent services, and any other concerns.”
· The Village has released an update on the approval of Union Point Business Park Phase 2, which “includes a 435,778 square foot office/warehouse building, along with associated parking lot and site improvements on 19.84 acres located at the northeast quadrant of the business park (north of Murphy Road and west of Woodward Avenue).” More information is available at the Village website.
