Your Tax Dollars, Freedom of Information and More at Seminar Tonight

The League of Women Voters is inviting the public to learn about local governing bodies, how taxes are spent and more at an information session tonight. 

Speakers include Maryam Judar, the executive director of the Citizen Advocacy Center; Jack Knight, the Freedom of Information Act officer for the Village of Woodridge; Liz Chapin, a DuPage County Board member; Karol Sole, a community leader and League member; and Peggy Healy, League co-president and Observer Corps Coordinator. The event is at 7 p.m. tonight, Sept. 18, at the Downers Grove Fire Department Administration Building, 55th St. and Main St. in Downers Grove.
