eRead Illinois Program

The Woodridge Public Library is participating in the eRead Illinois Program, designed to increase access to e-books across the state. Library systems have partnered with the Illinois State Library and Baker & Taylor to provide this access. This is a two-year program designed to increase access to e-books for Illinois residents. Initial funding for the Program was provided by a grant from Secretary of State and State Librarian Jesse White. Patrons can use a number of devices to access the e-books, including iPad, iPhone, Android, NOOK, Sony Reader, and more.

The Baker & Taylor Axis 360 was selected because of the breadth and depth of available titles, the flexibility of options to meet the diverse needs of our libraries, and the ADA compliance of the Baker & Taylor Blio ereader.  "Equal access for all users in Reaching Across Illinois Library System libraries is very important to us," said Dee Brennan, Executive Director of RAILS.

eRead Illinois will launch on January 27. Additional information on how to access the eRead Illinois shared collection will be available to www.woodridgelibrary.org
