Last Chance: Learn to Hula, Help Domestic Violence Victims

The Woodridge Junior Woman's Club fundraiser is Saturday at St. Scholastica.

Learn to hula while helping victims of domestic violence.

Tickets are still available for the Woodridge Junior Woman’s Club annual fundraiser, Doing the Hula to Provide Help & Hope. The event will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, at  in Woodridge. The event will benefit Family Shelter Services.

Tickets are $25 and include a catered dinner from Famous Dave’s BBQ, DJ, Dancing, hula instruction, silent auction and a cash bar. Guests must be 21 or over.

Family Shelter Services is a non-profit organization serving victims of domestic violence and their children in DuPage County. In addition to providing emergency shelter, they provide individual and group counseling, court advocacy and services, hotline, teen services, children’s services, and Latina services.

The Woodridge Junior Woman's Club is a non-profit organization that supports charities in the Woodridge area, as well as greater DuPage County. It provides local women with an organizational structure, allowing them to use their talents to make a difference in their community.
