Support Local Fundraising Endeavors: Get Out

There are a variety of fundraising events in the area this weekend. What a great opportunity to have some fun and support our community.

1)

Where/When: , Darien, Sunday, 7:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Why Go: The fundraiser supports those in need of vision or auditory care, and more.  All-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs & beverages ensure you'll leave with a full stomach and a feel good attitude.

Pricing: $5 in advance; $6 at the door; kids 5 and under eat free; raffle

2) Woodridge VFW Post 1578 Pasta Dinner

Where/When: Shanahan's, Woodridge, Saturday, seatings at 5:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: An all-you-can-eat buffet style pasta dinner (desserts included—YES!) supports local and national veterans and the Village of Woodridge.

Pricing: $10 per person; $25 per family; cash bar and raffle

3) Warrior Booster Club March Madness Night

Where/When: Slammers Pub and Grill, Lemont, Saturday, 7 p.m. - close

Why Go: March Madness NCAA Second Round Games, open bar and food from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m., fundraising for Old Quarry extracurricular activities threatened by budget cuts and an evening with friends... mmm, what are you waiting for?

Pricing: $45 per person or $80 for two; raffles, silent auction

4) Havana Nights Gala - Fundraiser for St. Al's and St. Pat's School in Lemont 

Where/ When: Bobak's Signature Events, Woodridge, Saturday, pre-party at 5 p.m.; party at 6 p.m.

Why Go: This is your chance to bid on the Pigs on Parade included in the silent auction (live auction also), wear tropical clothes, eat a five-course meal with open bar and dance until the cows (sorry, we meant pigs) come home.

Pricing: $75 per person; $10 for pre-party; $20 to attend pre-party only

Where/When: Ashton Place Banquets, Willowbrook, Saturday, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Why Go: A fun evening with silent and live auction items, a four-course meal and open bar. The proceeds benefit the Rotary Club's numerous charitable works for disadvantaged individuals.

Pricing: $60 per person; open to the public
