The Best Day for a Fish Fry is of Course FRYday: Bites Nearby

The fundamentals of a Friday night fish fry are fish, fries, fellowship, family-time and fun.

Spring brings the season of Lent for Catholics who abstain from eating meat on Fridays. As a result, many restaurants offer all-you-can-eat fish fries.

In the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast, haddock, perch, cod, scrod, catfish or walleye might be used.

Dinners may come with fries, chips, hushpuppies, coleslaw or beans, and let's not forget the tartar sauce and malt vinegar.

At any rate, Catholics aren't the only ones who can enjoy the all-you-can-eat fish fries. Anyone can participate in Fish Fryday. And apologies to the Finding Nemo characters: In this case fish are food, not friends.
