Dickens at Woodridge Public Library

February 2012 will be the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens. Dickens at 200 will examine his birth and early, formative years, and then glide over to the days when he was writing his powerful and famous novels. Four of his most popular works will be compared and contrasted, and important events taking place in Dickens’ own life will show intertwining relationships between his real life and his fiction. Linda Putnam has studied Dickens and London for 30 years and will present this PowerPoint program. The program will be held on Monday, February 20, 7:00 pm.
