Honor a late DGN and Jefferson alum at the "Joy of Music" Instrument Drive Saturday. The event honors JD Katrenak, who died last year at the age of 20. Katrenak was a band member at Jefferson and at Downers Grove North.
The drive will take place on Saturday, March 12 at Jefferson Jr. High School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Instruments and donations to repair and purchase instruments for the district are welcome. (You can also send a check to the Woodridge Organization of Music Parents, c/o Keith Carlson, at Jefferson Jr. High School. Just write "Joy of Music" on the check note line.)
There will also be special performances.
