350K Square Foot Facility Breaking Ground Soon in Woodridge

Orbus Exhibit & Display Group, a leading supplier of display, exhibit and event solutions, will bring about 300 jobs to Woodridge.

Construction on the 350,000-square-foot facility for Orbus Exhibit & Display Group is set to break ground in Woodridge next month, according to a news release.

Orbus, a leading supplier of display, exhibit and event solutions, announced in May that it would be relocating from Bolingbrook to Woodridge in the Union Pointe business park near interstates 55 and 355.

The building will break ground Sept. 23, and in summer 2014 will consolidate its current operations in Bolingbrook and Niles into the Woodridge building, bringing about 300 jobs to the village.

“The magnitude of our combined Orbus operation makes us one of the largest portable and custom modular display companies in the USA,” Orubs CEO Giles Douglas said in the release. “We have great excitement and expectations for what we can achieve with unified operations.”

The building will be designed and constructed in such a way that Orbus can expand on the site at a later date to increase the building size to 430,000 square feet and 100 additional parking space.
