Downers Grove, Woodridge Chambers to Merge

The two chambers will join together to create a new entity.

Downers Grove Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday they will merge, creating a new chamber entity.

Both boards of directors are confident the alliance will mean "tremendous value" for the area businesses.  The alliance will also create economies of scale and efficiencies, legislative leverage and competencies as well as a larger base of business for members, according to a release from the Downers Grove Area Chamber.

“I am excited about the impact that this alliance will have to our Members who will be kept informed through special meetings, website postings, newsletters, etc.,” said Dan Coil, Chairman of the Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce.

Both organizations intend to maintain a physical presence in their specific Villages and will ensure that all their members will easily fold into the new entity, once created.
