"Irish Night" to Raise Funds for Woodridge Rotary Club

Well-known Irish band The Whiskey Brothers will be the featured entertainment at a fundraising event called “A Bit O’Blarney” being held on Friday, March 16 at Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge.

The event, sponsored by the Woodridge Rotary Club, will be raising funds for three social service agencies serving the Woodridge-Downers Grove-Lisle area. Proceeds of the event will be divided equally between Sharing Connections Furniture Bank of Downers Grove, West Suburban Community Pantry of Woodridge, and the Walk-In Ministry of Hope of Downers Grove.

Tickets for $50 are available now through March 1 (for Early Bird registration)and $55 after that. A buffet of fish and chips and corned beef and cabbage will be provided from 6:30-8:00 PM. Raffles, Irish-themed baskets for a silent auction, and games will take place throughout the evening. The event will take place from 6:00 - 11:00 PM.

The Woodridge Rotary Club is a 501c (3) organization dedicated to Service Above Self. The Club raises funds in order to give back each year to organizations in the community which help residents most in need. This fundraiser is being dedicated to three organizations which are especially providing assistance to people affected by the economic downturn.
