Glenmark Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Glenmark, which has the distinction of being the first individually quick frozen burger developed for home use, is celebrating 40 years during the months of July and August.

Proudly made in Chicago for four decades, Glenmark products use 100 percent USDA beef, and each Glenmark burger is individually quick frozen to ensure optimum freshness and flavor. Glenmark burgers are intended to fry or grill directly from the freezer. There is no need to thaw the product.

Consumers can enter a Sweepstakes drawing titled, “Get Your Grill On… & Keep it On All Year!” Two lucky winners will receive a Weber Gas Grill (Genesis E-310) which retails for $700. Eight winners (one drawn per week) will receive free Glenmark burgers for a year, and everyone who enters will receive a high-value coupon.

In addition, consumers who send a photo of their “Glenmark Celebration BBQ” for posting on the Glenmark Facebook page will receive a high-value coupon for Glenmark burgers.

During the July and August celebration, Glenmark vans will be out and about at retailers around Chicago and its suburbs to set up grilling stations, so people can sample the Glenmark products. Coupons, mini squishy burgers and Glenmark 40th anniversary cupcakes will be given away.

For the anniversary, Best Chicago Meat is introducing three new products under the Glenmark Premier Label line. The new Glenmark Premier Label line includes:

• Angus Beef Chuck - 1/3 pound burgers
• Angus Mini Burgers – 2 oz. burgers
• All White Meat Turkey Patties – 1/3 pound burgers that are 94 percent lean

Glenmark’s Classic Line boasts four decades of success. It includes:

• Steak Eater’s burgers, restaurant-style – ¼ pound of 100 percent USDA beef
• Cookout burgers – 1/3 pound of 100 percent USDA beef
• Great Grillsby Patties – ¼ pound of USDA beef, soy and a special mild seasoning making these burgers a value-priced alternative to all-beef burgers.
