I took an early retirement and began remodeling for family members and soon friends and neighbors asked me to do repairs. I am now focusing on the Darien area with an emphasis on small repairs as opposed to major remodels.

Why did you choose the area you did?

We have lived in Darien for 23 years, and our family members also live in and around Darien.

What does your business offer?

No job too small, with service from a local person who can be contacted any time by phone or email. Most calls are for water leaks, clogged drains or installation of ceiling fans or light fixtures.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

All hardwired (electric) smoke detectors should be replaced every ten years. Replacement requires a new wiring harness but the new units I supply are from Kidde and they include a battery back up system. I am currently offering Darien residents replacements including installation at around $30 each.

What's your most popular product or service?

Usually small plumbing leaks but currently smoke detector replacements since I have been posting flyers to notify residents that the manufacturer recommends replacement every 10 years and almost all Darien homes are older than 10 years.
