Get ready, District 99 football fans. The first home football game of the season is next Friday at on its new artifical turf field.

2. ends its summer season this weekend

The family aquatic park will still be open Labor Day weekend, but its the last weekend the entire park will be open for you to enjoy.

The park is open Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.

3.  Woodridge Rotary Club's Mini Triathlon is Sunday

. Remember that 83rd Street between Janes and Woodward Avenues will be closed 4 a.m. to noon because of it.

4. Garage Sale benefits Uganda mission trip

Bargain hunt for a great cause at this garage sale at 2549 75th St. It's open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Proceeds benefit Stephanie Drope's December mission trip to Uganda.
