Adams said Woodridge was entering into a similar agreement with the Bolingbrook Park District when Bolingbrook's power came back on.

"We allow it because in the reciprocal situation we would want to send patrons to a neighboring facility," Adams said in Tuesday's board meeting.

He said he hoped that before next year, area park districts could draft an agreement that would allow patrons from one park to use another in case of power outages or other situations that would prevent parks from opening.

"It's something I've wanted to do for awhile," Adams said in the meeting. "That way, we could just make a call."
