If you'd like to participate in building your own scarecrow, you provide the stylish outfit, and the park district provides the hay. The best part is that you're welcome to take home the finished product as a great autumn decoration.

From 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Magician and Balloon Artist Matt Scherer will perform and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Juggler and Stilt Walker Jason Kollum will captivate the crowd with his act.

At 4 p.m., kids can enjoy 45 minutes of crafting at the Kids Craft Station where they can make their very own monkey magnet. Each child will be allowed one wooden monkey (while supplies last) to paint at the station and then take home.

Come hungry because the Park District is offering traditional festival treats such as hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy and taffy apples. The priciest item is a cheeseburger meal for $3.50, which includes a drink and chips.

You're welcome to walk or bike around the park as the events are going on. Children are able to ride the trackless train that goes throughout the park.

The park district hopes for the great weather and fun time that everyone had last year. They are expecting between 1,200 and 1,250 people. That's the average attendance each year.

Parking is available at or in the parking lot. If you're parking in the Community Center, enjoy a free hayride to .

See you there!
