Enjoy a glass of wine, complementing cheeses and live jazz music on the veranda on Wednesdays at the Morton Arboretum from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This event is for those 21 and older and no registration is required. The Arboretum admission fee is waived after 5 p.m. for those attending this event. The price is $10 per person.

Watch ''Shrek Forever After'' at  at 8:45 p.m. Popcorn, snacks and beverages will be available for sale.

4. Eyes to the Skies starts Wednesday night 

The carnival portion of Lisle's Eyes to the Skies starts tonight. The carnival's hours are 5 to 10 p.m.

You can buy mega passes for unlimited rides for all five days for $50. 

5. Library program on happiness Wednesday night 

Om Johari who will discuss the benefits of having a grateful attitude at the  Wednesday at 7 p.m. Registration is required. To register by phone, call  (630) 487-2577.

Topics include gratefulness for little things, thankfulness, the role of gratitude in relationships and personal crises (illness, pain, death, etc.), and the relationship between meditation and gratitude.
