Live Blogging Dan Aykroyd's Appearance at Hollywood Boulevard

About 100 people have showed up to meet Dan Aykroyd at .

Among them are an 8-year-old Blues Brothers fan and the self-proclaimed "Ghostbusters of Galena."

The Blues Brothers and Ghostbusters star will make an appearance around 6 p.m. to promote his new film, Yogi Bear. Aykroyd plays Yogi in the film.

People started lining up at 1 p.m. to meet Aykroyd. Brenda Padula, of Willowbrook, and Jason Zenawick, of Orland Park, were at the front of the line. Both had tried to see Aykroyd when he appeared earlier in the day at Binny's in Bolingbrook.

However, they said the line was so long that they decided to come to Hollywood Boulevard to head off the crowd for tonight.

Zenawick said he just enjoyed Aykroyd's movies.

"I've been a Ghostbusters fans since I was little," Zenawick said. "I live so close, there was no reason not to come see him."

Chad White and John Cord, who call themselves the Galena Ghostbusters, came to Hollywood Boulevard at 1:30 p.m. The duo came dressed up in Ghostbusters gear.

"I started liking Ghostbusters when I was little, and it never got old," Cord said. "They don't make comedies like that anymore."

Vicki Gozdecki of Hickory Park agreed.

"It's a classic," she said. "It's something you don't find anymore."

Bradley Overmeyer, 8, wore a Ghostbusters T-shirt, but said Blues Brothers was his favorite film. His bedroom is decorated in Blues Brothers attire, he sings all the songs and he went as Jake for Halloween once, his mother Connie Overmeyer said.

"I just like it," he said.

Update, 5:55 p.m.

The line is now almost out the door at Hollywood Boulevard. Yogi and Boo Boo have both made an appearance. T-minus 6 minutes until Aykroyd will appear. 

Update, 6:03 p.m.

Some people are getting their photos with Yogi and Boo Boo. No sign of Aykroyd yet.
