Park District Loses 10 Trees to Emerald Ash Borer

Trees at Caddie Corner Park, Janes Avenue Park and Mending Wall Park had been found to be infested with Emerald Ash Borer.

Ten trees infested with emerald ash borer have been removed from Woodridge parks, the park district announced Tuesday. 

Four infested ash trees at Caddie Corner Park were removed. Trees were also removed from and . 

John Karesh, superintendent of park operations, announced the losses at the park district's board meeting Tuesday night.

At , nearly 25 trees have been removed since the start of the year. Fifteen of those have been removed because of storms this summer.
