Gator bags stolen 

A thief removed four gator bags used to water newly planted trees around 10 a.m. in a park located near 63rd Street and Park Avenue, police said. The theft was discovered around 10 a.m.

TUESDAY, May 24 

Theft from Kohl's

Rodney Chambers, 41, from the 500 block of Irving Place in University Park, was arrested around 11:15 a.m. and charged with retail theft after he removed various clothing items from , 1001 75th St., police said.

Graffiti found on underpass

Someone marked the underpass at the intersection of Interstate 355 and Internationale Parkway with graffiti, police said. The graffiti was discovered around 8:55 a.m. 

Illegal transport of alcohol; driving while license suspended

Joe Hutchinson, 43, from the 5900 block of Cortland Street in Chicago, was arrested and charged with illegal transport of alcoholic liquor and driving while license suspended following a traffic stop near the intersection of Janes and Forest, police said.

Residence egged

Someone threw eggs at a residence in the 8400 block of Mending Wall Drive around 2 a.m., police said.

May 19

Retail theft, possession of a controlled substance 

Clinton Sampey, 29, from the 400 block of Shady Oaks Drive in Elgin, was arrested around 1:15 p.m. and charged with retail theft and possession of a controlled substance after he attempted to remove the Kinect attachment for an Xbox 360 from , 2333 63rd St., police said.

Driving under influence of drugs   

Joshua Essad, 26, from the 1100 block of Needham Drive in Naperville, was arrested around 2:28 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of drugs after he was discovered in the 7400 block of Woodward Avenue, police said.
