Fundraiser for Edgewood Thursday at McDonald's

The school is holding the fundraiser in honor of Rosie, a service dog who works in the school.

is holding a fundraiser at Thursday to raise awareness for service dogs like Ranger.

The kindergartener has a life-threatening food allergy to peanuts. Ranger alerts his handler and Edgewood staff as seeks peanut protein throughout the school. His service protects the kindergartener and any other students with a severe peanut allergy.

The fundraiser will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at McDonald's, 2310 W 75th St., near the intersection of 75th Street and Janes Avenue.

Edgewood will receive 25 percent of all sales during this time.
