Friday

Crosstown Football

Watch take on at South. The sophomore game starts at 5 p.m.; the varsity at 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy performances by both schools' dance teams, cheerleaders and marching bands.

Saturday

Child I.D. cards, check safety seats

The Illinois Tollway will provide child safety seat checks and child I.D. cards at their headquarters, 2700 Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

DuPage County Sheriff's Safety Day

DuPage County Sheriff John Zaruba and the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office will hold Safety Saturday at the DuPage County Fairgrounds.

Shuttle buses will take you to the DuPage County Jail and DuPage County Crime Laboratory. There will be exhibits from the sheriff's office SWAT team, K-9 Unit, BATTLE auto theft task force, Fire Arson Task Force, Hazardous Devices Unit and Community Resource Unit. The sheriff's hummer and armored personnel carrier BERT and ERNIE will be on display.

Plus, you'll get child I.D. kits, balloons, Halloween bags and more.

Sunday

From noon to 5 p.m., enjoy this free community event in . Park at the and enjoy a hayride to the event. There's a magician, games, food, entertainment and you can build your own scarecrow.

Light the Night Western Suburban Walk

The Light The Night Walk presented by Wells Fargo Private Bank is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's fundraising walk to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer.
