Trib: Metra May Cut Trains on Every Line in 2012

The Tribune reports two to four trains would be cut from each line and weekend service would be reduced.

If you rely on Metra to get where you need to go, here's news for you. 

Metra board members are considering a list of service reductions that would cut two to four trains per line in 2012, the Tribune reported Friday

The reductions would save Metra $8.2 million a year.

The plan includes cutting weekend service on three lines and extra service on Bears and White Sox. 

Board members have been asked to decide whether or not to cut service at the Aug. 12 meeting, the Tribune reported.
