Woodridge Tree Lighting is This Week

Businesses will kick off the holidays with an annual tree lighting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 30, at Seven Bridges at Route 53 and Hobson Road in Woodridge.

What’s better than a festive tree lighting to ignite holiday spirits?

The Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce, businesses in the Seven Bridges development and the Woodridge Special Events Committee are planning just such an event – at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30. And besides being festive -it’s free!

The evening will begin with the lighting of a large tree at the north end of the Seven Bridges development, in front of Cabana Charlie’s at 6315 Main St.  Holiday lovers of all ages are invited to come out to visit with Santa and enjoy hot cocoa, cookies – and plenty of holiday music and cheer.

Besides the lighting of the “big tree,” multiple trees will be decked out in holiday lights throughout the development.

For more information, contact the chamber at www.woodridgechamber.org or call 630-960-7080.

Disappointed that this event has been moved to Seven Bridges. Was so nice when it was located in the center of Woodridge, by the village hall, library, police department, park district building, post office, clock tower. Most residents visit at least one of these places during the holiday season. Was always so festive.
