Hanging of the Greens Service
Sunday, December 1st at 9:00am and 10:30am
All are welcome to our annual Hanging of the Greens services Sunday, December 1st. It is our tradition to have this service at the beginning of Advent each year to prepare for Christ's coming, which includes hanging greenery traditionally associated with everlasting life. We will decorate the sanctuary with cedar for royalty, fir and pine boughs for everlasting life, holly symbolizing Jesus' death, and ivy representing the resurrection. The first candle of the Advent Wreath will also be lit.
