On October 1st, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 7550 Lyman, in Darien, the Darien-Woodridge Fire District will host an open house.
There will be many displays and demonstrations, so participants are encourage to bring a camera. Outside demonstrations include an above ground rescue, proper use of fire extinguishers, a demonstration of auto extrication tools, a response to a building on fire, and setting two "rooms" on fire to show the benefits of fire sprinklers in the home.
There will be plenty of handouts available for everyone, and light refreshments will be available. Call (630) 910-2200 for more information.
