Glimmer of Hope Fundraiser
will host its second annual "Glimmer of Hope" fundraiser Friday.
All proceeds will benefit Derrick Wanderer, a 15-year-old who suffered major brain injuries after a car accident on June 13, 2011. Wanderer is the nephew of Glimmer Co-Owner Sandy Robertson.
After being thrown from a car and hitting a tree, Wanderer was hospitalized and completed rehab at Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He is confined to a wheelchair and will require daily therapy and round-the-clock care.

"We are hoping to raise enough money so that once home we can provide something that he will need," Robertson said in an e-mail.
The event will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. at Glimmer Salon, located at 3520 Seven Bridges Drive in Suite 235.
