Community Corner

Harvest Sunday

You are invited to participate in the 17th Annual HARVEST SUNDAY, November 7, 2010, where donations will benefit the local community. Your donation will go to the West Suburban Community Pantry (formerly Woodridge Community Pantry), and will help alleviate the hunger of our neighbors in need this winter season. On Saturday, November 6 a Harvest Sunday donation bag will be distributed to Woodridge residents.

Residents are asked to put their check in the envelope provided in the donation bag, and leave the check and/or the food donation on the front porch by Noon on Sunday, November 7. Donations by check, payable to the West Suburban Community Pantry, are used to purchase food at eighteen cents a pound! The most needed food items include soup, canned meat, tuna, rice mixes, beans, stew, pasta and macaroni & cheese. The Pantry also needs personal care items such as shampoo, toothpaste, diapers and bathroom tissue. For more information about the West Suburban Community Pantry, please visit www.wcpinc.org or call (630) 512-9921.
