Woodridge Rotary Recycling Extravaganza

New items to be collected this year: books, records, CDs, clothing (including hats, shoes, boots), sports equipment, kitchen items (dishes, utensils, pots and pans), domestic furnishings (such as curtains, blankets, sheets), and musical instruments.   These items are in addition to electronic items (no longer allowed in landfills), used bicycles and their parts, American flags, gym shoes, eye glasses, cell phones, buttons, keys of any kind, scrap metal, lead acid batteries, and propane tanks. Please note that the electronics collection will not include CFL bulbs, small lithium or alkaline batteries, smoke detectors or appliances of any kind. There will be no paint collection.

Paper shredding (limit of 3 bank boxes or paper bags) on site will take place, and 55 gallon rain barrels purchased through the Woodridge Park District ahead of time (in cooperation with the Conservation Foundation) will be available for pickup.
