Haunted Forest Walk Coming to Woodridge

Hawthorne Hill Woods will be transformed this month into a thrill of scary scenes, complete with ghosts, ghouls and all sorts of creatures that slither and groan. 

The 2013 Haunted Forest Walk, sponsored by the Woodridge Park District, is from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26. There is also an afternoon session from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday that will be more suitable for young children and the faint of heart. 

Cost is $7 for an evening session and $5 for the Saturday afternoon session. Hayrides depart from the Community Center, 2600 Center Dr.

Parking is available on Carleton Drive, at Village Hall and at the Woodridge Public Library on Plaza Drive. Dropoff location is on the west end of the Community Center parking lot.

Tickets may be purchased at the Community Center. Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

All proceeds raised help support the following participating organizations: Woodridge VFW Post 1578, Boy Scout Troop 516, Boy Scout Troop 109, Boy Scout Troop 181, Boy Scout Troop 512, Boy Scout Troop 562, Goodrich PTO and the Woodridge Jaycees.
