Commitment to Business

As a resident and business owner I know how important a strong business community is to Woodridge.

When it comes to my commitment to the business community of Woodridge I have to say again, I am the best candidate in the race. As a resident and business owner I know how important a strong business community is to our village. I’ll do all I can to make sure the Woodridge business community continues to grow and prosper.

I served for two years as Vice-Chair of the Woodridge Area Chamber of Commerce, two years as the Chairman, two years as the Immediate Past Chair and then back for one more year as the Vice-Chair.

Currently I serve as the Chairman of the Programming Committee.

A few of the programs that I initiated, planned, or helped get underway while helping lead the Chamber follows. I would point out that all of these required the ability to bring various groups together to accomplish our objectives. In particular the Seven Bridges Season Starters Race saw an unprecedented effort pulling together entities throughout Woodridge and beyond to make that a huge success from year one and a highlight that many in our community look forward to.

Our partner since the inception of the Seven Bridges Season Starters Race, the Woodridge Public Education Foundation, sadly informed us that they would no longer be able to continue on as our partner. Upon learning this it took me about 2 hours to have a new plan in place, thanks in large part to Kiersten Regelin, the former Chamber President whose vision led to the race in the first place. The Chamber and our new partner, the West Suburban Community Pantry, are currently planning for this year’s race. We look forward to our best year ever and continuing an event that draws people from areas far beyond Woodridge to the Seven Bridges Development.
