The following endoresement is from Mary Ann Frank. Mary Ann is a former Woodridge Trustee and served as Mayor Pro Tem under Mayor Murphy. She has been a commited resident, always actively working to make Woodridge a better place to live. I was fortunate to be able to work with her as co-chair of the village's 50th and 40th Anniversary Committee. As a former trustee who took over the role of mayor when Mayor Murphy was absent she certainly knows the qualities that are necessary for our next mayor to possess. I thank her for her endoresment and am proud to have her on my campaign team.
Woodridge is a great place to live. We are truly fortunate to have many dedicated individuals in our community who truly care about our future. With the retirement of Mayor Murphy, I believe Mike Krucek has the ability to lead our Village on a path of continued success and progress, meeting the challenges of the constantly changing world in which we live in today.
Mike has already proven himself as an involved resident, businessman and successful leader in the community, using business and personal skills which have earned him the trust and respect of many other community leaders. Planning and execution of the Village and Park District 50th/40th Anniversary celebrations in 2009 took two years of work by a large group of community volunteers. As co-Chair with Mike, I observed first hand his ability to work with multiple groups and taxing bodies in organizing the large variety of events which we coordinated during that time. While I had limited dealings with Mike prior to that experience, he quickly earned my admiration for his work ethic and personal standards of dealing with people.
One of Mike's greatest assets as our Mayor would be his ability to work with others and gain consensus. He is able to thoughtfully analyze an issue, consider various opinions and come up with reasonable options to consider, as well as bringing discussions to the decision point which enables progress.
Mike is an enthusiastic supporter of Woodridge businesses, youth athletics and community events. He shares the same overall vision for Woodridge that residents and community leaders have developed and nurtured over the years to make our community such a great place to live, work and play. I believe he will be an excellent listener to all stakeholders in our future, and will work diligently to maintain our high quality of life and provide superior public services in a fiscally responsible manner.
