Burglary Spree Strikes Seven Bridges Area: Police

Woodridge police have issued a caution after three incidents of residential burglary to Seven Bridges-area homes.

The following is a release from the Woodridge Police Department:

The Woodridge Police Department is investigating recent criminal activity in the Seven Bridges area. There have been three (3) separate incidents of Residential Burglary to single family homes.

The offender(s) have used an unknown type of pry tool to gain entry to homes. These incidents have occurred between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. In all incidents, residents were not home at the time.

The Woodridge Police Department is actively investigating these incidents and request that anyone with information please call (630) 719-4733.

The Woodridge Police Department reminds all residents to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods by immediately calling 911.

Also remember, residents should leave exterior lights on both in front and to the rear of the home. If you have a burglar alarm make sure that it is set and make sure residence doors are locked. Residents should have interior lights on a timer throughout the year to give their home, that "lived in look".
