Charges Filed in Truck Rollover Accident

The driver of the concrete mixer truck was the only one injured when the truck rear-ended a car and rolled over on Hobson Road on Sept. 2.

The driver of a concrete mixer truck that rear-ended a car Sept. 2 on Hobson Road and rolled over faces two traffic charges, according to . 

Jeffrey Blum, 49, of Bolingbrook, has been charged with driving too fast for conditions/failure to reduce speed and disobeying a traffic-control device.

Blum was driving a concrete mixer truck east on Hobson Road when he rear-ended a car stopped at a red light at the intersection of Hobson Road and Woodridge Drive.

The truck then traveled along a bike path, took down a traffic light and rolled over.

Blum was the only one injured in the accident. He was transported to Edward Hospital in Naperville and later was released. Kate Croteau, management analyst for the , said she did not know when Blum was released or what his injuries were.
