A 22-year-old Downers Grove man is headed to prison, sentenced to 10 years for a 2011 burglary.

Andrew J. Walczak pleaded guilty last week to a single count of residential burglary, according to a police department press release

In July 2011, he broke into a car in the 1300 block of Turvey Road, according to police, and ran when police responded to the block. Police, acting on leads, obtained a search warrant for Walczak's residence and found evidence of various thefts and burglaries in the area, as well as a pellet rifle.

He was suspected of several car burglaries.
