Downers Grove police are seeking the community's help to identify a woman they believe was involved in several thefts and related crimes in the area.

The department released multiple surveillance photos Wednesday of a woman accused of stealing from several retail establishments and health club facilities along 59th Street, 63rd Street and Butterfield Road in Downers Grove.

The woman, who is thought to be between 55 and 65 years old, is described as white with gray hair and a thin build, police said. She may be in the company of a man in the same age range, described as white with a medium build and wearing a baseball cap.

Authorities said the woman is a suspect in at least four car burglaries and thefts that occurred in Downers Grove between December 2011 and September 2012. During the incidents—most of which occurred during the daytime hours—the woman primarily stole purses and wallets, police said.

Anyone with information on the woman's identity or whereabouts should contact Detective April Clarke of the Downers Grove Police Department at 630-434-5612 or aclarke@downers.us.
